Orofluido

I have combination hair with oily roots and dry ends. Winter weather conditions and stressing out over school has not helped improve the condition of my hair. I can deal with the roots using special shampoo but no matter how much I deep conditioned the ends were always tangly and dry!

My hairdresser turned me on to Orofluido, to aid in the dryness.

Now, I am pretty low maintenance when it come to my 'do. I am not one to fry my hair with over dying or by using too many heating products.

So using and oil, much like the ever popular Argan oil seemed over the top....BUT! This product is formulated to be lighter the others. It is a combination of Linseed, Argan and Cyperus and it provides, moisture and shine. OH and the smell!!!!

This is the most amazing smelling product ever! I am very picky when it comes to smells and this one is so deep and layered! It smells of vanilla, but not sugary icing vanilla, this deep musky florally vanilla. It is what you might imagine the vanilla orchid plant smelling like ( I don't think they do smell tho). Sex on wheels.
Not to mention it makes my hair so silky, so easy to brush through, so moisturized......did I mention the smell?!
It's funny because my boyfriend noticed it right away and loved it! (I didn't tell him what it was, just said it was me)

My hairdresser gave me a .17fl oz sampler bottle to try and I have used a little bit every time I shower for the past 3 weeks, on the ends of my hair and I still have 3/4 left to use.
I am not a connoisseur when it comes to hair oil, this is my first one, but I love it and will definitely be repurchasing!

B Day make up and lil haul/review!!

Every year on my birthday I go to MAC to get a makeover, as a treat to myself..and as an excuse to buy more MAC makeup. This year I asked for something more wearable ( usually I tell 'em to pile it on, gotta get my $$ worth) as I had loads of homework to do unfortunately, and I had to go to study group. I wanted some colour in the look because I am starting to get more and more interested in wearing colour. I am trying not to take make up so seriously and to have more fun with it now, while I can. The lovely Miranda did my make up and we had a blast!!! This is what we came up with.

All MAC
Eyes: bare study paint pot (base), honesty (inner corner & all over), coquette (crease), aqua and steamy ( lower lash line), blacktrack fluid line (winged liner), Lash #20's
Face: Strobe cream, Studio Sculpt in NC 15, Golden Bronzer, Blush in Peachykeen
Lips: Not shown here :( Sublime culture creamstick liner and Crosswires Lipstick
Tired and clearly not feeling photogenic

I really loved the look, and so did the bf, who was with me!!! I ended up only purchasing 3 products:

MAC#20 Lashes: Which I love! They looked so great and were sooooo comfortable, they did not dig in at all!

MAC Fix+ : I love this product! I cannot believe I didn't pick it up earlier! It does wonders for my dry skin by restoring the moisture. This gives me a really fresh glowy, dewy look. LOVE

MAC Brush #224 : Have lusted after this for a while now, especially since I always see guru's like Pixiwoo using it! Torn between using it for concealer or for blending...... I don't want to get it all gunky and then use it to blend...Like it though.

Ciao!

Sunday morning ramble

Good morning! I was pretty early this morning, (for a Sunday) as I fell asleep reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last night ( I am just getting into this book, a little late). I have had such a hectic two weeks, including midterms, lab reports and a birthday (the big 25!). Soooooo I am a little far behind on my blog updating, was planning to do a birthday makeup look (a la MAC), haul, Valentine's Day look..ramble....another haul...BUT I have the week (reading break) and should be able to catch up.

Still procrastinating however... have you seen the goodies on www.bakerella.com ???? Majorly delicious, they have cupcakes on a stick! Come to think of it don't celebs like Lauren Conrad love these? Contemplating trying a recipe for V Day...doubt they will look as good though... that is the thing about baking though, even if it look like crap it will still taste delicious!
Ooo and also planning on making the bf a cutesy card for tomorrow as well AND it is my turn to plan our day tomorrow (suggestions?)  .... wow I have a lot of stuff to do, not to mention homework and laundry! Better get going, I'll keep you posted.
How are you getting ready for Valentine's Day?
