3 wants,5 impulse!

Wet'n'wild Comfort Zone palett
e- I managed to get a hold of this while a friend was traveling in the USA.
I love it!! I can't believe how amazing these shadows are! I have been using them everyday. WANT

Wet'n'wild Night Elf palette - Bought this when I was still on a high from the Comfort Zone. IMPULSE

EOS lipbalm - I have been lusting after these for years and they were right under my nose, in the local Rexal drugstore!!! Mind you they were on the very bottom shelf...WANT

Annabelle bronzer in Borabora Sun - For some reason I had to have this...packaging is nice, I like the 4 different shades, it is only a little shimmery, is a bit powdry however, so does require some extra TLC when applying but..IMPULSE

Annabelle Volume Lip lipgloss-....but the model looked so good with it on! I couldn't help it! Decent packaging, like the colour, it brings out peachy tones in nude lipstick particularly well, does not plump lips whatsoever..IMPULSE

L'Oreal  Nude Lipstick #235 - Went in on buy get one with my mom (she made me) and it is okay, it is moisturizing but has a little of that perfumey old lady smell, colour is same as my lips.. IMPULSE

Marcelle Moisture Rich Foundation in Barely There - the name speaks for it self on this one, it is really moisturizing but the pigmentation is brutal, it is more like a tinted moisturizer...in fact they probably have more coverage...I don't want a lot of coverage for the summer though, so this works, NEEDS to be applied with a brush, I don't hate it...IMPULSE

Annabelle Eyeliner in Mink - I have been looking for a brown eyeliner for a while and I bought this because it was the only brown that didn't have red undertones, it is a cooltoned greyish brown, which I like, formula isn't the best but that is what you get....WANT

Featuring: Annabelle bronzer, and lipgloss, Marcelle foundation as well as Comfort Zone palette

I need help.

Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer

After too many afternoons of discovering flakey face in the bathroom mirror at school, I decided to pick up a foundation primer.

I picked up the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer a few weeks ago and have been giving it a whirl ever since.

I have to say I am quite happy with the results.
It feels really silky, goes on smooth, has a pleasant smell that I can't quite put my finger on, and was pretty inexpensive.

It really helped improve my skin texture, although really bad patches of dryness were still present.

Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
I don't think I would use this everyday, becuase I don't want to be layering that much crud on my face each day, but it will def. be making an apperance on those days that I want to look even more gorgeous than I already am. (wink wink cough cough)

It did, however, not play nice with a few of my foundations, Maybelline's Fit Me, in particular. This foundation just seemed to sit on top of my skin and not soak in.

The genus that is gossmakeupartist, recently posted that this could be due to incompatibility between ingredients, such as oil vs water, a big no no when mixed.

The first ingredient listed for both is water, with the primer having silicon a little farther along, so not too sure what the story is.

I guess it is just up to playing around with what you got first.

Anyways, Wahoo long weekend!!/ I have a midterm next week.. :(

The perfect light smokey eye?

I created this look,
Ahhh, this pic doesn't do it justice!

using the Pop Beauty palette in Smokey Eyes:

The shadows in this kit are great, they aren't deadly pigmented which I like for this light smokey eye as sometimes I can get a little crazy with the colours and end up having solid shadow from my lid to brow. (heh heh) Gorgeous!

Eyes:

I used:
-1 in the inner corner and as a brow highlight.
-2 all over the lid
-3 crease
-4 darken up the outer V, and on the lower lashline

Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC's Rich Ground on the water line
Almay black eyeliner on the upper water line
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara

Face:

Revlon Beyond Natural Face Primer and Colorstay Active tinted moisturizer
NYX - Cream blush in Natural 02
MAC -MSF Stereo Rose
(no bronzer today :o)

Lips:
Maybelline Pink Please lipstick

This turned out surprisingly well, and was perfect for a sunny day. Not too dark but not boring either.

I wouldn't say I'm snobby....

but when it comes to some drugstore brands... you know...I prefer not to own them. Don't get me wrong, I love shopping at the drugstore but I usually stick to Revlon, or L'Oreal.

When I think of Wet'n'Wild, it reminds me of this little bottle of chippy bubblegum pink nailpolish I had when I was 9....that and a water park.

Anyways, it is not a brand I shop ever usually, but I had to pick something up from the new coloricon (color -eye-con, color-i-con?) range. I have heard so much about them in the beauty community but I was feeling skeptical...

(I actually made a friend buy these first, as she is new to makeup and didn't want to spend lots of money. I then saw how awesome they were and I got jealous and had to buy my own :p)

Wet'n'Wild Eyeshadow Palettes, Greed (left)  and Lust (right)

The pigmentation is amazing! SO rich! AND they actually do matte colours!! Not just shadow with less glitter (as I am sure you have experience before at the drugstore, when purchasing matte shadows). MATTE!

I am super impressed with these, they have great colours and are so cheap, 8$ or something ridiculous like that.

If I HAD to say SOMETHING bad about these eyeshadows it would be that they are a little powdery which causes the colour to splash over to other eye shadows in the quad, leading to mixing of colours. It can make them a little difficult to work with but still worth it.
( That is something I don't think MAC gets enough credit for - their shadows are soft but often don't fluff everywhere).

Have you tried these yet?

My favourite....

I do not have many favourites...mostly because I am indecisive
The times are a changin' and so are my favs.

I do however, love OPI's Kyoto Pearl nailpolish..

I ALWAYS come back to this colour! It is the pefect colour for all occasions, you can't go wrong with a silvery pearly white. Dare I say Holy Grail?

I remember when we first met, I was flipping through the pages of Allure Magazine so many years ago...it was love at first sight. One of the models was sporting Kyoto Pearl and she looked so effortlessly chic and cool, I had to have it.

OPI Kyoto Pearl

I do believe that this was my first OPI nailpolish....sigh..

This colour is very sheer and does require 3 coats but I adore it! I have worn it in the summer, in the winter, to weddings, to funerals, on my toes, on my fingers and everywhere in between.

It  looks especially fabulous at night, as you really notice the pearly whiteness as it flashes in the moonlight...or candlelight...or flashlight.. whatever

Do you have a fav nail varnish?

Some new additions (aka Haul)

I purchased 3 new eyeshadows from MAC recently:

Clockwise: Aqua, Satin Taupe and Bisque
I wanted Bisque to act as an all over eyeshadow that matched my skintone for blending and such but it is just okay. I think the eyeshadow is fine but my purpose for having it is just boring.

I have had my eye on Satin Taupe for a while as a LUST product and I have to say I am a little unsure about it. After seeing so many gurus use this, I thought I knew what it would look like on me, but I was wrong! This is an unusual colour, with a mix of brown, grey and purple and I think it will look completely different on everyone. It is taking some getting use to.

Aqua was an impulse buy after my boyfriend said that he liked it. Turns out it is my favourite of the 3. It is different because it is so matte, it takes some time to build up but I think it is really fun for summer.

Do you own any of these?
